AI Mentor

A voice that has known you for years.

Hippora asks better questions because it remembers the last ones. Here is what it is, how it behaves, and what it will never pretend to be.

It asks more than it answers.

Advice is cheap and mostly unwanted. The rarer thing is a question precise enough to make you say something you did not know you thought.

Hippora will give you a direct answer when you ask for one. Left to itself, it will ask.

I think I should leave the job.
You've said that in March, in July and again now. Each time it's been the week after a meeting with the same person. Is it the job?

Three ways to be spoken to

You choose the register.

Gentle

Softer, slower, more space. For the evenings when you need to be heard rather than challenged.

Direct

Plain and unpadded. It will name the thing you are circling and ask you about it.

Deep

Longer and more exploratory, willing to sit with a question for a whole session without resolving it.

You can change register at any time, or ask for a different one mid conversation.

Honesty

What the mentor is not.

We would rather be clear about this on a marketing page than have you discover it at a difficult moment.

It is not a therapist

Hippora does not diagnose or treat. For clinical support it will encourage you toward a professional, plainly and without judgement.

It is not conscious

It is a language model with a long memory and a careful brief. It will not claim otherwise, even if you ask it to.

It is not always right

It can misread you. When it does, say so, and the correction is remembered as firmly as anything else.

It is not a substitute for people

If your reflections suggest you are isolated, Hippora will say so and encourage you toward the humans in your life.

Begin the conversation you'll still be having in ten years.

Your first reflection takes four minutes. The rest takes a lifetime, and that is rather the point.
