Life Compass

A quiet reading of where your life is pointing.

Eight dimensions, updated as you reflect. No score to raise and no badge to earn. Just an honest surface to look at when you need one.

It fills itself in.

You never complete a form. The compass is drawn from what you say in conversation and what you write in the journal, then updated quietly in the background.

A dimension is described in words wherever possible. Steady. Rising. Tender. Thin. The language matters, because a number invites you to optimise and a word invites you to notice.

The eight

What the compass is actually made of.

Purpose

What you are for, and whether your days reflect it.

Relationships

The people you are close to, and the honesty between you.

Health

Your body, sleep and energy, described rather than scored.

Craft

The work you are getting better at, paid or not.

Mind

What you are learning and how you are thinking.

Stillness

Rest, quiet, and time that is not for anything.

Money

Your relationship to it, not just the number.

Growth

The direction you are moving, across all of the above.

Design decisions

Three things it deliberately does not do.

No daily update

The compass moves on the timescale a life actually moves on. Checking it every morning would tell you nothing.

No comparison

There is no average, no benchmark and no other person's compass to measure yours against.

No failing grade

A thin dimension is information, not a verdict. Sometimes stillness is thin because something worthwhile is loud.

Begin the conversation you'll still be having in ten years.

Your first reflection takes four minutes. The rest takes a lifetime, and that is rather the point.
